THE ROLE & TEAM
We are looking for a Paralegal to join our Private Client team in Liverpool, supporting our specialist Court of Protection practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal with a strong background in Court of Protection work to continue developing their career within a highly regarded and collaborative team.
You will play a key role within our Private Client team, working closely with fee earners on a range of Court of Protection matters. The team manages financial deputyship cases and supports vulnerable clients and their families with sensitivity and care.
This is a hands-on role, offering exposure to complex and meaningful work, where your existing Court of Protection knowledge will be essential to supporting the team effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing day-to-day support to fee earners on Court of Protection matters
Preparing and submitting Court of Protection applications and supporting documentation
Assisting with the preparation and filing of annual deputyship reports and returns
Ensuring compliance with Court requirements and key deadlines
Liaising regularly with clients, families, the Court, and third parties in a professional and empathetic manner
Managing correspondence, file administration, and general case management tasks
Supporting billing processes and maintaining accurate records
Assisting the team in progressing matters in line with Court procedures and internal processes
ABOUT YOU
Previous experience within Court of Protection is essential
Prior experience in a Private Client team or similar environment
Strong understanding of Court of Protection procedures and requirements
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills with a compassionate and professional approach
Proactive, collaborative, and keen to contribute to a supportive team environment
