Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide compassionate assistance and guidance to individuals in need. This role involves working closely with children and young people, offering mentorship, support, and encouragement to promote their personal development and well-being. Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support to children and young people, fostering their independence and confidence
- Assist with daily activities, including educational tasks, recreational activities, and personal care as required
- Mentor individuals by offering guidance, encouragement, and positive role modelling
- Support behavioural development through teaching appropriate social skills and coping strategies
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for individuals
- Organise engaging activities that promote learning, socialisation, and personal growth
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made
- Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals under your care
Requirements
- Experience or interest in working with children or young people is highly desirable
- Skills in mentoring, teaching, or supporting individuals through developmental challenges
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating patience and resilience in challenging situations
- Relevant qualifications or training in social care or related fields are advantageous but not essential; willingness to undertake necessary training is required
- A commitment to safeguarding protocols and maintaining confidentiality at all times
