Hollybank School is seeking an exceptional Senior School Nurse to lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality nursing care for children and young people with profound, complex, and multiple disabilities. As Senior School Nurse, you will:

Lead the assessment, planning, implementation and review of individual healthcare plans.

Deliver specialist nursing care for children and young people with complex health needs.

Act as a key clinical resource for colleagues, families and external professionals.

Supervise, mentor and support nurses, Education Health Care Assistants and support staff.

Promote best practice, clinical excellence and person-centred care.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.

Ensure staff medical training remains current and appropriate to the needs of the school.

Support service development, quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance.

Essential
-
Registered Children's Nurse (RNC/RN8) or an RNLD with a current NMC PIN
-
Experience leading, managing or coordinating nursing teams

Experience developing and evaluating healthcare programmes and care plans
-
Strong medication management experience
-
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
-
Experience supporting children and young people with complex physical, medical and learning needs
-
Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
-
Committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care
Desirable
-
Experience managing tracheostomies and long-term ventilation
-
Experience in deep suction techniques
-
Experience supporting children and young people with epilepsy
-
Experience working within specialist education or disability services
