Join our team at CHIDO WEY, Bristol's colourful, creative and vibrant Mexican joint, located at 25B Central Hall, Old Market Street. We are seeking a dedicated Front of House Team Member to contribute to our dynamic and authentic dining experience. Compensation:
Hourly Rate: £13.00-£14.00 p /hour
Contracts: 28-45 hours p/week
Tips Gratuity: approx £700-£1,300 dependant on hours worked and business turnover.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist customers in choosing menu items and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring high standards of presentation.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Uphold food safety standards and procedures at all times.
Skills:
- Proficient in basic maths for handling transactions.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations to facilitate communication with the culinary team.
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
