We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure the safety of both staff and customers
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment to management
- Support other kitchen staff with various tasks as required, including plating and garnishing dishes
- Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature
- Adhere to health and safety policies, including proper handling of knives, hot equipment, and cleaning procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
