Little Blossoms Nursery are looking for a Pre-school practitioner to join the team in our Nursery 30 to 40 hours per week, 3/4 fixed days(8am-6pm). Job share of 20 hours could be considered for the right applicants.
Job Description:
- Provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
- To have a good understanding of Child development and be able to use the information to inform the planning and delivery of the experiences offered to children.
- To have a sound understanding of the EYFS and plan appropriately for children’s individual needs using the curriculum for guidance.
- Observe, support and extend children’s learning.
- Comply with the statutory framework for the Early Years, including the EYFS Welfare requirements, Development matters and other relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989 and 2004.
- Maintain accurate and effective children’s records using the online Tapestry programme.
- Work in partnership with parents, carers and other family members.
- Demonstrate good practice with regard to Special Needs and Inclusion.
- Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understand Safeguarding procedures, following them when necessary.
- To be an effective key person carrying out all related responsibilities including building relationships with both children and families.
- To be responsible for the day to day supervision and care of your key children as well as those in the department generally.
