Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver to join our small, family-run haulage business based in Wrexham.
The role mainly involves trailer swaps between customer sites, with occasional collections and deliveries of aluminium products. This is a Monday to Friday position with no nights out, no weekend work, and regular routes.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, looks after the vehicle and equipment, and provides excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Carry out trailer swaps between customer sites safely and efficiently.
- Complete daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.
- Ensure trailers and loads are secure and transported in accordance with legal requirements.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
- Communicate with the transport manager regarding any delays or issues.
- Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers.
- Keep the vehicle clean and report any defects promptly.
- Follow all Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and health & safety regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Previous Class 1 experience preferred.
- Due to our insurance policy, applicants must be 30 years of age or over.
