As the business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to become a key member of our management team.
The Role
This is a senior management role within the business.
As Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing multiple live construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the high standards our clients expect.
Working closely with the directors, Quantity Surveyor and our site foremen, you'll provide leadership across all live projects, solve technical construction issues, maintain strong client relationships and ensure our projects are professionally managed from start to finish.

Responsibilities
- Manage multiple live construction projects simultaneously.
- Carry out regular site visits to monitor quality, progress and health & safety.
- Support, mentor and develop our site foremen.
- Solve technical construction problems and provide practical guidance on site.
- Plan labour and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and procurement.
- Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor on budgets, procurement, cost control and variations.
- Attend client, architect, consultant and contract administrator meetings.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Maintain excellent standards of workmanship, organisation and customer service.
- Identify risks early and implement practical solutions.
- Develop and improve construction systems and procedures as the business continues to grow.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Site Manager.
- Extensive hands-on construction experience with the technical knowledge and confidence to solve construction problems on site.
- Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Experience delivering high-quality residential and commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and programme management.
- Ability to confidently lead, support and develop site foremen.
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
- Good commercial awareness and experience working alongside Quantity Surveyors.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
- High standards with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working on architect-led projects.
- Experience with refurbishment, structural alterations and commercial construction.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
