We are now looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Night Trunking Drivers to join our growing operation at our Cumbernauld depot.
The Role
This is a dedicated double manned night trunking position, focused on depot-to-depot trailer movements. No multi-drop customer deliveries - just clean, efficient trunking work within a well-structured network operation.
You’ll be part of a professional transport team ensuring overnight freight moves smoothly between key hubs.
Trunks leaving the depot at 1630hrs, 1745hrs and 1900hrs - 14hr shifts
What You’ll Be Doing
- Night trunking between PPS depots and partner hubs
- Safe coupling and uncoupling of trailers
- Securing loads and ensuring compliance with transport regulations
- Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer checks
- Completing electronic and paper-based documentation where required
- Following driver hours, WTD, and company safety procedures
- Communicating effectively with transport planners and depot teams

What You’ll Need
- Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Licence
- Up-to-date Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of driver hours and WTD regulations
- Maximum 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, DG, CD, AC, UT or MS endorsements)
- Previous trunking experience preferred
- Reliable, safety-focused and professional attitude
