Role Overview
The Regional Coach – South Region is a position responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and coaching delivery at the Enfield site while overseeing standards, development, CPD programmes, and football events across the Southern Region of the UK.
The successful candidate will ensure that all programmes are delivered in line with PSG Academy methodology, maintaining consistency, quality, and operational excellence across multiple locations. They will lead, mentor, and develop coaches while supporting regional growth initiatives and representing the PSG Academy UK brand at events, tournaments, and stakeholder meetings.
Key Responsibilities Site Leadership – Enfield
- Lead and manage all football operations at the Enfield Academy site.
- Ensure high-quality delivery of all training sessions, camps, clinics, and academy programmes.
- Maintain exceptional player, parent, and coach experiences.
- Manage site staffing, scheduling, and operational planning.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and PSG Academy UK policies.
- Monitor player development pathways and support talent identification initiatives.
Regional Coaching Oversight
- Oversee coaching delivery across PSG Academy UK programmes within the Southern Region.
- Conduct regular coaching observations and quality assurance reviews.
- Ensure consistent implementation of the PSG Academy methodology across all sites.
- Support regional programme launches and operational growth.
- Act as the primary football performance lead for the Southern Region.
Coach Management & Development
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain high-performing coaching staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and establish development plans for coaches.
- Create a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence.
- Support coaches in achieving relevant qualifications and professional growth objectives.
- Provide regular feedback and technical guidance to coaching teams.
CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
- Design, coordinate, and deliver regional CPD workshops and coaching education events.
- Develop annual CPD programmes aligned with PSG Academy methodology and industry best practice.
- Facilitate practical and theoretical learning opportunities for coaches.
- Collaborate with national leadership to implement coach development strategies.
- Maintain records of coach attendance, development plans, and CPD outcomes.
Events & Programme Delivery
- Lead the planning and delivery of regional football events, tournaments, camps, showcases, and special PSG Academy experiences.
- Support national and international PSG Academy events when required.
- Coordinate staffing and logistics for regional events.
- Ensure events meet PSG Academy UK standards for quality, safety, and customer experience.
- Represent PSG Academy UK at football industry events, partner meetings, and community engagements.
Leadership & Business Support
- Contribute to regional growth strategies and business development initiatives.
- Support partnerships with schools, clubs, and community organisations.
- Provide regular reports on coaching quality, staffing, player development, and regional performance.
- Assist with budget planning and resource allocation where required.
- Serve as a role model and ambassador for PSG Academy UK values and standards.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- UEFA C Licence (minimum).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in football coaching leadership roles.
- Experience managing and developing coaching staff.
- Experience delivering coach education and CPD programmes.
- Strong understanding of player development pathways.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Experience managing football events and multi-site programmes.
- Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel extensively.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- UEFA B Licence.
- FA Advanced Youth Award or equivalent.
- Experience within an academy, professional club, or elite player development environment.
- Experience managing regional or multi-site football operations.
- Background in coach education and mentor programmes.
