Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shop Floor Manager to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise shop floor staff to ensure high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to optimise productivity.
- Oversee merchandising activities, ensuring products are displayed attractively and stock levels are maintained.
- Manage sales targets, analyse sales data, and implement strategies to increase revenue.
- Maintain effective communication with team members, other departments, and senior management to facilitate smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the shop floor.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Organise training sessions for new staff and ongoing development programmes for existing team members.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment, and oversee stocktaking procedures.
- Maintain organised records of sales, staff schedules, and other administrative documentation.
Experience
- Proven management experience within a retail or similar environment, ideally with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail in merchandising and administrative tasks.
- Effective communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable.
- Experience in sales management, retail management or related fields is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Previous experience in supervising teams, managing staff schedules, and handling customer relations is essential.
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and stock control procedures is advantageous.
