GLOBALLS is looking for a highly organised, proactive and commercially aware HR and Business Administrator to support the smooth running of our people processes and wider Head Office operations. Based in Heathfield, East Sussex, this is a varied role covering recruitment, onboarding, payroll preparation, employee administration, training coordination, compliance support and day-to-day HR administration, with occasional travel to our sites in Brighton, Sutton and Weymouth.
The successful candidate will be a confident administrator with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information professionally. You will work closely with managers, Head Office, payroll and external HR advisers to ensure employee records, processes and communications are accurate, timely and well managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Place recruitment adverts, screen applicants, arrange interviews and organise trial shifts.
- Research pay levels at comparable businesses and support managers with recruitment decisions.
- Prepare contracts, collect new starter information and maintain employee records for BrightHR and payroll.
- Allocate policies and procedures, chase read receipts and support compliance with company requirements.
- Coordinate employee training, including health and safety training.
- Review clocking data and rotas, then prepare monthly payroll information for submission.
- Support absence management, return-to-work interviews, warnings, disciplinaries, grievances and employee letters.
- Assist with pay rises, probation reviews, appraisals and meeting note-taking.
- Liaise with Peninsula and other external advisers where required.
- Support leaver processes including dismissals, references and exit administration.
- Maintain records for asset and uniform allocation.
- Assist with safety, risk management, compliance and ad hoc Head Office business support tasks.
About You
- Previous experience in HR administration, business administration, payroll support or a similar role.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence handling confidential information.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and HR, rota, payroll or business administration systems.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to support a growing business across different operational areas.
- Knowledge of employment processes, HR compliance or BrightHR would be advantageous.
What We Offer
- Salary of £28,000–£32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
