The Role
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on School Cleaning Supervisor to lead cleaning operations at Edinburgh Academy Senior School.
This is more than a supervisory role - it's an opportunity to take pride in leading a dedicated team, setting high standards, and making a visible impact across the school. You'll be at the heart of ensuring the site remains clean, safe, and welcoming, while supporting and developing your team to deliver their very best.
What You'll Be Doing

Leading daily cleaning operations, including floor care and reactive cleaning tasks

Supporting, motivating, and organising your team through effective rota management and training

Carrying out audits, monthly performance checks, and safety walks

Managing cleaning materials and chemicals in line with COSHH regulations

Ensuring cleaning standards consistently meet Sodexo and client expectations

Monitoring performance, managing resources, and reporting incidents where required

Providing hands-on support and additional cover when needed
About You
You'll bring a positive, professional approach and enjoy leading by example. You take pride in maintaining high standards and know how to create an environment where people feel supported and motivated.
We're looking for someone with:

Experience within cleaning or housekeeping, ideally in a supervisory capacity

Strong organisational and communication skills

A hands-on approach and a willingness to support the team wherever needed

Knowledge of cleaning processes, Health & Safety, and COSHH regulations

High standards of professionalism, presentation, and personal hygiene

A commitment to delivering exceptional service and creating positive experiences for others
