Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bench Joiner/Wood Machinist/Belt Sander Operative to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working with various woodworking machinery and hand tools to produce high-quality joinery and bespoke woodwork. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication, carpentry, and assembly, with a keen eye for detail and safety. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within a professional workshop environment.
Duties
- Operating woodworking machinery such as belt sanders , saws, and planers to shape and finish timber components & aluminium.
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling wood parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Using hand tools and power tools to perform precise joinery and fitting tasks
- Ensuring all work meets quality standards and safety regulations
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area, including equipment maintenance and safety checks
- Collaborating with team members

Qualifications
- Proven experience in joinery, or carpentry within a workshop or construction environment. essential the use of a blet sander.
- Experience operating power tools including belt sanders, saws, routers, and planers
- Knowledge of assembly techniques
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Candidates should be physically fit and capable of working in a busy workshop environment.
Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
