Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated 1 x Support Workers and 1 x Senior Support Workers to join our team in providing exceptional care within a care home environment. The roles involve supporting individuals with their daily needs, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere. The positions are paid, offering an opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive setting. The Senior Support Worker will take on additional leadership responsibilities, supervising junior staff and contributing to care planning. Children Services from aged 5 to 18.
Duties
- Assist children/young people with personal care, including washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support in engaging with activities and socialising in the community
- Implement and review individualised care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Supervise and mentor junior support staff, ensuring high standards of care delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support
- Manage daily routines efficiently, ensuring safety and comfort for all children
- Support with medication administration as per training and protocols
- Contribute to a positive, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is desirable
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred for Senior Support Workers
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting residents' outings or appointments
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to use IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts as required by the role
- For Senior staff to act up in the absence of the Manager (will talk through the expectations)
This opportunity is ideal for motivated individuals committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others through professional support and compassionate care. For Level 3 qualified staff, hourly rate will be £15.50 not as advertised.
