About the role as a Green Skills Manager

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Green Skills Manager to join our Construction and Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of innovative green skills programmes that support the UK's transition to a low-carbon, sustainable economy.
As Green Skills Manager, you will lead the design and delivery of industry-focused training programmes, including green skills bootcamps and apprenticeship provision, aligned to sustainability, retrofit, energy efficiency, and net-zero priorities. Working closely with employers and industry partners, you will ensure our curriculum remains relevant, responsive, and focused on developing the skills needed for the future.
You will also teach, assess, and support Property Maintenance Operative apprentices, helping learners achieve their full potential and develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for successful careers within the construction and built environment sector.

What do you need to be successful as a Green Skills Manager at Activate Learning?
You will be an inspiring education professional with a passion for sustainability, learner success, and workforce development. With strong leadership skills and industry expertise, you will be committed to delivering high-quality training that meets the needs of learners, employers, and the wider construction sector.

GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).

Recognised teaching, assessing, and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualifications, together with practical teaching experience.

A strong understanding of outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

Proven management or leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and influence others.

Experience of using technology and digital tools to enhance learning.

A passion for sustainability, green skills, and developing the workforce of the future.
