We are a leading textile printing company in the London area looking for a talented person to work with the Finance Team Lead as part of a small team to take on various accounting tasks. You will need to be numerate, methodical and organised with excellent attention to detail. You must be a team player building and maintaining excellent working relationships internally and also be able to communicate personably and professionally with customers. This role is part time 4 days a week, Tuesday to Friday.
Job Purpose
To provide essential administrative and entry-level accounting support to the company's finance team, as directed by the Finance Team Lead, ensuring daily financial operations run smoothly by handling tasks such as processing invoices, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with payroll, ultimately ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial records.
To support and assist in the office management
Duties:
Sales/Purchase invoices
- Verify and check production job sheets, report any errors, providing accurate, consistent numbers on all paperwork and prepare for invoicing on the system.
- Inputting Additional costs such as Transport Charges for invoicing
- Prepare, process and send invoices to customers, collate and file.
- Transfer data to accounting system.
- Purchase invoice reconciliation and entry.
Receivables/Payables
- Check Aged Debtors and Send Statements to customers
- Follow up with any customer queries, ensuring they are resolved promptly and professionally
- Raising credit notes to limit as agreed with line manager following process for agreeing credits.
- Keep debtor days to agreed targets.
- Check creditor report and allocated payments against sales/purchase invoices.
HR/Payroll support
- Processing Absence and Holiday Requests into Infotime System
- Producing Absence Notification reports as needed
- Assist with gathering data on overtime/SSP for Sage Payroll
- Assisting Finance Team Lead with weekly and monthly staff payroll
- Audit data entries as required.
Admin support
- Assist with fabric stock reconciliation as directed.
- Other admin and accounting support for line manager and directors as needed.
Reception cover duties (adhoc)
- Provide cover when receptionist is unavailable.
- Being the first point of contact to meet and greet visitors at reception, ensuring they are made welcome and looked after.
- Ensure visitors read and follow any health and safety instructions.
- Take calls and messages accurately, transferring calls and managing the switchboard
- Organise post
- Handle deliveries and collections of small items at reception and ensure they are forwarded to the relevant person
- Liaise with warehouse for larger deliveries and collections
- Manage the front of house function ensuring a clean and organised reception desk
- Monitor incoming emails and manage or redirect to the appropriate department.
- Filing as needed.
Carrying out any other tasks commensurate with role as requested by management according to business needs.
Qualifications/experience needed:
- Educated to degree level
- Relevant accounting qualification ie. Bachelors in Accounting
- Able to use computer based software including MS Outlook, Word, Excel to the Basic Level, Sage
- Minimum 3 years’ experience inputting critical data that require accurate inputting and cross checking
- Preferably have some experience in invoicing

Working hours
8.00am to 4.00pm Tuesday to Friday. 30 minutes for lunch. Overtime by arrangement.
