The Fuel Forecourt Shop Assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing sales transactions, replenishing stock, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the store and forecourt. The role involves serving customers efficiently, handling cash and card payments, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the site.
Standard hours will be between 2pm and 10pm Monday to Friday (30mins break if required) however some flexibility will be required to cover holidays and sickness.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate the till and process fuel, shop and other sales transactions accurately.
- Handle cash and card payments according to company procedures.
- Replenish shelves, refrigerators, and display areas to ensure products are fully stocked.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
- Check deliveries and assist with stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards in the shop, toilets, and forecourt areas.
- Conduct routine safety checks and report hazards or maintenance issues.
- Verify age-restricted sales in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as required.
- Support colleagues and management in achieving sales and customer service targets.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
