Job Overview
Ponteland Motor Works are looking for a experienced Vehicle Technician to join our busy garage. You will be working on a wide range of vehicles which include carrying out diagnostics, services and general day to day repairs to a very high standard.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on light vehicles.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks including engine work, brakes, servicing and general repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment and assembly techniques to execute repairs efficiently and accurately
- Communicate repair findings clearly to front of house.
- Assist in vehicle assembly or disassembly as needed for complex repairs or upgrades
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge of light vehicle systems and components
- Experience reading schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and assembly processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts replacement
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various vehicles.
- Prior experience in equipment repair or automotive service is highly desirable
