We are looking for a Trainee Used Car Sales Executive to join our friendly and successful used car sales team in Long Eaton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about cars, enjoys meeting people and wants to develop a career in the motor trade.
No previous car sales experience is required — full training, coaching and support will be provided.

The Opportunity
As a Trainee Used Car Sales Executive, you will learn how to sell quality used vehicles from a range of manufacturers, including popular, premium and prestige brands.
You will work alongside an experienced sales team and receive hands-on training to develop your product knowledge, customer service and sales skills.
The role is ideal for someone who is currently working in a customer-facing environment and is ready to take the next step into a rewarding career in automotive sales.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Trainee Used Car Sales Executive, your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming customers to the dealership and creating a great first impression.
- Understanding customers' requirements and helping them find the right vehicle.
- Presenting and demonstrating a range of quality used vehicles.
- Handling customer enquiries by telephone, email and face-to-face.
- Building strong and lasting relationships with customers.
- Following up enquiries and identifying sales opportunities.
- Supporting customers throughout the buying process.
- Learning how to present finance and additional products to customers.
- Keeping customer information accurate and up to date.
- Working as part of a successful and supportive sales team.
- Delivering an excellent customer experience from initial enquiry through to vehicle handover.
- Developing the skills and knowledge required to progress into a fully-fledged Used Car Sales Executive.
About You
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, confident, personable and eager to learn.
You may currently work in:
- Retail
- Hospitality
- Leisure
- Customer service
- Recruitment
- Business development
- Or another customer-facing role
Previous motor trade or car sales experience is not essential.
You'll ideally have:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A confident, friendly and professional manner.
- A genuine interest in cars and the automotive industry.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- The ambition to develop and succeed in sales.
- The ability to build rapport and strong relationships with customers.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- A full UK driving licence.
