Overview
We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic, and reliable Bartender Cum Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent bar service while also maintaining a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment throughout the premises. You will play an important role in delivering a positive customer experience by ensuring high standards of service, cleanliness, and hygiene at all times.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide friendly and professional service to customers, taking orders and making suitable recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including counters, equipment, shelves, and storage areas.
- Carry out regular cleaning of designated areas, including floors, tables, surfaces, washrooms, and other relevant areas.
- Clean and sanitise bar equipment, utensils, glassware, and work surfaces in accordance with hygiene standards.
- Ensure rubbish and waste are collected, removed, and disposed of appropriately.
- Restock bar supplies, cleaning materials, and other essential items when required.
- Monitor customer behaviour and ensure the responsible service of alcohol at all times.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and maintain appropriate records.
- Follow all health, safety, food hygiene, and workplace cleanliness procedures.
- Report any maintenance, cleaning, stock, or safety issues to the appropriate manager.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure the premises remain clean, organised, and ready for customers.
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience in bartending, cleaning, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Good knowledge of cleanliness, hygiene, and basic food safety practices.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining service and cleaning standards.
- Good time management and attention to detail.
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to undertake both bartending and cleaning responsibilities.
- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a high standard of customer service and cleanliness.
