Paralegal
Dispute Resolution – Commercial Litigation
Wolverhampton | Full-Time | Permanent
We’re looking for an organised, proactive and client-focused Paralegal to join our Legal 500-recognised Dispute Resolution team in Wolverhampton.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within an established and growing litigation practice. You’ll work closely with experienced lawyers, supporting the progression of a varied caseload with a particular focus on commercial disputes.
You’ll gain valuable experience preparing court documentation and electronic bundles, communicating with clients and professional contacts, and helping to move matters forward efficiently. For someone looking to build their litigation experience within a supportive regional firm, this role offers meaningful exposure and the opportunity to learn from experienced specialists.
With more than 600 colleagues across 19 offices, Talbots offers the structure and opportunities of a large regional firm while retaining an accessible, supportive culture. Our employee-owned model means every colleague contributes to, and shares in our continued success.
What does the job involve?
- Supporting lawyers with the opening, administration and day-to-day progression of commercial litigation and wider dispute resolution matters.
- Preparing and formatting correspondence, court forms, electronic bundles and other case-related documentation.
- Communicating professionally with clients, courts, counsel, agents and third parties, providing updates and coordinating appointments, hearings and conferences.
- Managing electronic files, diaries, key dates and deadlines using our SOS case-management system.
- Completing file-opening procedures, identity and AML checks, payment administration, document scanning and archiving accurately and promptly.
- Helping the team deliver excellent client service while maintaining SRA, Lexcel, accounting and internal quality standards.
What you need:
- Previous experience in a legal support or paralegal position, ideally involving litigation or dispute resolution work.
- A good understanding of legal administration, file management and the progression of client matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong spelling, grammar and attention to detail.
- The ability to organise your workload, manage competing priorities and meet important deadlines.
- Confidence communicating with clients and professional contacts in a helpful, responsive and professional manner.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic document or case-management systems.
What do we offer?
As an employee-owned firm, we want everyone to share in our success and feel supported throughout their career. We offer:
- Competitive salary reviewed annually.

- Flexible and hybrid working options depending on the role and team.
