Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Duties
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Support chefs with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies, ensuring that all items are correctly labelled and stored at appropriate temperatures.
- Maintain health and safety standards within the kitchen, including proper sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Assist in other duties as required by the head chef or kitchen manager.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
