The Fraser of Allander Institute requires a Deputy Director to provide senior strategic and operational leadership to the Institute, working closely with the Director, Head of Department and senior colleagues across Strathclyde Business School to shape and deliver the Institute’s strategic priorities and business plan.
The postholder will lead the institute’s work on fiscal and budgetary analysis and oversee work across a range of economic policy areas, including but not limited to business engagement, trade and climate change. We are therefore looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the ability to adapt to a broad range of topics, which may be out with their primary specialism, and lead multi-sector and multidisciplinary teams.
The selection process will comprise two stages. First-round interviews for this post are expected to take place during the week commencing 5 October, with the exact date to be confirmed. Candidates who are successful at this stage will be invited to the Fraser of Allander Institute during the week commencing 26 October. The exact date will be confirmed in due course. This visit will provide an opportunity to meet the team and deliver a short presentation, followed by a Q&A and a second stage interview.
