Are you a qualified finance professional with a passion for delivering high-quality financial reporting, strategic insight and strong financial governance?
We’re on the hunt for a dedicated and enthusiastic Financial Reporting Manager to join our amazing Finance and Resources team at Fairhive, to lead our financial reporting function and play a key role in supporting the organisation's financial performance, regulatory compliance and long-term sustainability.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation where your expertise will directly contribute to providing homes and services that make a positive difference to our communities.
About the role…
As Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Financial Reporting function across the Fairhive Group. You'll lead the production of annual statutory accounts, oversee regulatory reporting requirements, and ensure the timely submission of financial information to regulators, lenders and other statutory bodies. You'll also take the lead on the external audit process, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance are maintained across the organisation.
Working closely with budget holders and colleagues across the business, you'll oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, develop corporate budgets, produce financial forecasts and provide insightful reporting to support decision-making at all levels. You'll prepare quarterly financial reports for the Board, including budget performance, year-end forecasts, cashflow information and financial covenant monitoring.
This role also provides the opportunity to influence service improvement and organisational efficiency through finance system development, process enhancement and the delivery of projects that support Fairhive's continuous improvement agenda. As a leader within Finance, you'll inspire and support colleagues, build effective relationships across the business and provide expert financial guidance that helps achieve our strategic objectives.
About you
We're looking for a qualified accountant with significant experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts preparation, budgeting and financial management. You'll combine excellent technical knowledge with strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences.
You will have substantial experience working within complex financial environments and a strong understanding of financial governance, regulatory compliance and business partnering. Your ability to analyse data, identify trends and provide meaningful recommendations will enable you to support both operational and strategic decision-making across the organisation.
You'll be highly organised, capable of managing competing priorities and comfortable building collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including auditors, regulators, suppliers and colleagues throughout the business. A commitment to delivering excellent service, promoting equality and diversity, and supporting positive change is essential.
