Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team during daytime hours. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality care within a care home or home care setting, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a caring attitude. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Duties
- Assisting residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting individuals with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Implementing and updating personalised care plans in collaboration with the wider care team
- Providing companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Documenting care provided accurately using IT systems and maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a care home or home care environment
- Basic IT skills for documenting care plans and recording information accurately
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving community or home visits
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing personal care routines
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents and their families
Pay: £12.71 per hour
