We are recruiting an Interim Head of Service - Children & Education to join a forward-thinking Local Authority in the East Midlands.
This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping the strategic direction of Children's and Education Services, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring outstanding outcomes for children, young people and families.
The Role
As Head of Service, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership across Children's and Education Services, driving innovation and service improvement.
- Lead high-performing teams across Education, Family Help, School Improvement, Commissioning and Partnerships.
- Translate national policy and statutory guidance into effective local practice.
- Oversee service performance, governance, safeguarding and quality assurance.
- Build strong partnerships with education, health, social care and voluntary sector organisations.
- Lead on service transformation, workforce development and continuous improvement.
- Manage resources effectively, ensuring value for money while delivering excellent outcomes for children and families.
- Contribute as a key member of the senior leadership team, influencing strategic direction across the organisation.
