Overview
My Client is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver high-quality service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a busy restaurant or hotel setting. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
- Keeping the kitchen area tidy and organised throughout the shift
- Supporting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Restocking supplies and ensuring all equipment is stored correctly after use
- Maintaining health and safety standards within the kitchen environment
- Assisting with general cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards in compliance with regulations
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking skills are advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene practices preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous experience serving or working within hospitality settings is a plus
