Des Gosling Mobility is a family run engineering business designing adaptations to vehicles for disabled and elderly persons. We have a range of products which are installed by our own installation division and our installer network across the UK. As a growing business, we are currently looking to take on a production assistant to expand our team. We are open to applications from people with or without relevant experience.
Primary Job Role:
This role will mainly be focused on: assembly of products and kits; processing internal and external product orders; and maintaining the workshop space. Working in a small team, there will be involvement in all stages of the production process - from ordering stock all the way through to sending out finished products. The role will also entail working alongside the design team, working to continually improve ease of assembly of products and organisation of the workshop.
Person Specification:
We strive to produce high-quality products which disabled individuals and their carers can rely on so it is very important that the candidate has good attention to detail and takes pride in the work they do. The right individual will be enthusiastic and quick to learn. The job is very varied so they must be capable of applying knowledge learnt quickly to other parts of the role. Lastly, the candidate should have good time management skills, as they will quickly be partially responsible for organising their own schedule on a day-to-day basis and appropriately prioritising tasks.
Previous Experience:
The candidate does not need to have prior experience. However, any experience in the following areas is useful:
· Product Assembly
· Product Manufacture
· Warehouse Picking/Packing
Hours: Weekdays, 8:30am – 5:30pm. Flexible hours arrangeable.
Salary: Ranging based on experience/qualifications.
Location: South Derbyshire
Recommended: Full UK driving licence (we are hard to reach by public transport from most places)
