Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes across Sevenoaks district[Sevenoaks,Oxted, Caterham, Redhill Godstone, Edenbridge ] successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting residents' well-being, independence, and dignity. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support individuals with their care plans, ensuring personalised needs are met effectively
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and clients
- Help with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as required
- Support with meal preparation and feeding if necessary
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in residents’ conditions
- Assist with light domestic tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Drive clients or residents to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation
Skills
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and respond empathetically
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and completing documentation accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a caring environment
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation of clients or residents
- Strong organisational skills to follow care plans effectively and prioritise tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues
Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
