Job Description – Warehouse Forklift Operator

Role Responsibilities
· Safely operate forklift trucks and other material handling equipment in accordance with site procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
· Load, unload, move and store raw materials, packaging, finished goods and other stock safely and efficiently.
· Carry out pre-use forklift safety checks and report any defects, damage or equipment concerns immediately.
· Ensure all loads are secure, stable and suitable for safe transportation before movement.
· Accurately locate and put away stock in designated warehouse and production storage locations.
· Pick and transport materials to Production areas in line with operational requirements.
· Move finished goods from Production into the appropriate warehouse or dispatch locations.
· Support the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner.
· Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and site traffic management rules at all times.
· Maintain accurate stock movements using the appropriate warehouse systems and documentation.
· Support stock control activities by identifying and reporting shortages, damaged stock or stock discrepancies.
· Ensure materials and products are handled correctly to prevent damage, contamination or deterioration.
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping and keep warehouse aisles, loading areas and forklift operating routes clear and safe.
· Work collaboratively with Warehouse, Production, Quality, Engineering and other departments to support the smooth flow of materials across the site.
· Adhere to Health & Safety, food safety, GMP and quality policies at all times.
· Always wear and maintain the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
· Report accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions and equipment issues immediately.
· Participate in all required training activities and maintain forklift, Health & Safety and GMP competency.
· Support general warehouse duties when required to meet operational demands.
· Identify opportunities to improve warehouse safety and efficiency while maintaining compliance.
Working Patterns
Applied Nutrition are open 365 24/7 and our Production and Warehouse have a variety of shift patterns available.

· Weekends
Due to the rapid growth of the company, overtime is often required and available on each shift pattern.
Essential Criteria
· Valid forklift truck licence/certification appropriate to the equipment required for the role.
· Previous experience operating a forklift truck within a warehouse, manufacturing or similar fast-paced environment.
· Ability to operate material handling equipment safely, responsibly and efficiently.
· Strong commitment to Health & Safety with a proactive approach to identifying and reporting risks.
· Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures, safety protocols and work instructions accurately.
· Good awareness of pedestrians, vehicles, racking and other hazards within a busy warehouse environment.
· Ability to complete pre-use equipment inspections and identify potential defects or safety concerns.
· Good attention to detail to ensure stock is moved, stored and recorded accurately.
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing operational priorities.
· Ability to carry out manual handling tasks required for the role.
· Willingness to wear PPE and comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements.
· Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
· Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to different warehouse duties.
· Ability to identify and report stock, quality, safety or equipment issues.
· Ability to understand, speak, read and write English to safely perform the duties of the role.
Pay: £14.01-£19.33 per hour
