Loft Fitter Assistant – Full Time, Permanent

We're looking for a motivated, reliable, and hardworking Loft Fitter Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work and wants to develop new skills within a growing company.
The Role
As a Loft Fitter Assistant, you'll work alongside one of our experienced Loft Fitters, helping to install a range of loft access products in customers' homes.
Your duties will include:
- Assisting with the installation of loft ladders, hatches, boarding, shelving, and insulation
- Preparing materials, tools, and work areas
- Supporting light carpentry and basic joinery tasks
- Keeping customers' homes clean, tidy, and protected during installations
- Loading and unloading materials
- Maintaining company tools and equipment
- Delivering excellent customer service at every job
Full training will be provided, so previous loft installation experience is not essential.
What We're Looking For
- Experience using hand and power tools is essential
- Previous experience in construction, carpentry, joinery, roofing, drylining, or a similar practical trade is beneficial
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work confidently at height and in loft spaces
- Full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years) preferred

- This role involves working in loft spaces, which can sometimes be confined, dusty, and require good balance when moving around roof structures. You will also be in contact with loft insulation materials on a daily basis. Are you comfortable working in these conditions?
- Do you hold a valid UK driving licence and have your own transport to travel to our depot in Leek (ST13) each morning?
