Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team.
We are a growing family business that is passionate about giving the customer a dealership experience at an independent garage.
As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of vehicles by conducting thorough inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks. Class 4 MOT licence prefered but not required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brakes, tyre replacements, timing belts, etc...
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance work.
- Diagnose mechanical / electrical problems using diagnostic equipment and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles for future reference.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance
- A Full UK Manual driving licence
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to automotive repair.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and customers.
