Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling, and plating dishes to meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and managing waste disposal.
- Support the kitchen team in ensuring food safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Serve customers at the counter or table with friendly and efficient service, taking orders and answering inquiries.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely food delivery and customer service.
- Help monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers alike.
- Familiarity with serving procedures and upselling techniques will be highly valued.
