Registered Manager – New Children’s Home
We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a new Children’s Residential Home in Luton (LU4) supporting up to 2 young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
The home is currently progressing through the Ofsted registration process, with registration to move forward once the successful Manager is confirmed.
Offering £50,000–£70,000 per annum, depending on experience and Ofsted readiness, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a new service and help shape the home from the outset.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and day-to-day management of the home
- Support progression through the Ofsted registration stage
- Recruit, lead and develop the residential staff team
- Maintain excellent safeguarding and child-centred practice
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and Children’s Homes Regulations
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments and quality assurance
- Build effective relationships with Local Authorities and external professionals
- Maintain strong documentation and regulatory standards
- Promote positive outcomes for young people with EBD
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Children’s Residential Care experience
- Management experience within an Ofsted-regulated Children’s Home
- Good understanding of the Ofsted registration and inspection framework
- Experience supporting young people with EBD
- Strong safeguarding and regulatory knowledge
- Proven leadership and staff-management skills
Previous Registered Manager experience and/or experience taking a new home through Ofsted registration would be particularly advantageous. Relevant Residential Childcare and Leadership & Management qualifications are highly desirable.

Pay: £50,604.97-£70,073.96 per year
