Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and educational activities to children in a nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills whilst fostering the development of young children. The ideal applicant will have a passion for childcare, strong communication skills, and relevant nursery experience. A valid driving licence is preferred to support mobility requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in accordance with safeguarding policies
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes learning through play
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and external professionals regarding children's development and welfare
- Lead and supervise junior staff or apprentices as required, demonstrating management and leadership qualities
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nappy changing, and outdoor play
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the nursery’s curriculum and policies
Experience
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
- Strong background in childcare or early childhood education recognised by relevant qualifications
- Demonstrated management or leadership skills within a childcare environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience working with diverse groups of children and understanding their individual needs
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting nursery operations outside regular hours or locations

Pay: £1,290.00-£1,371.00 per hour
