We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee the planning, organisation, and execution of catering services for a diverse range of events. Duties
- Coordinate and supervise all aspects of catering operations, including food production, presentation, and service.
- Lead and motivate a team of chefs, servers, and support staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Develop menus in collaboration with clients, ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen and service areas.
- Organise staffing schedules to meet event demands while optimising resource utilisation.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction throughout the event.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within all catering areas.
- Handle administrative tasks such as budgeting, invoicing, and reporting as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, or food preparation within a catering or restaurant environment.
- Strong management skills with previous supervising experience in hospitality or culinary settings.
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and food safety regulations.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Experience in managing restaurant or hospitality services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures is essential.
- Previous barista experience is considered an advantage but not mandatory.
