Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring smooth operation and patient safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
- Ensure all clinical areas adhere to strict hygiene and sterilisation protocols
- Support patients by explaining procedures, answering queries, and providing reassurance
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to optimise clinic workflow
- Support administrative tasks such as stock management and ordering supplies
- Uphold high standards of infection control and health & safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Prior experience in dental nursing or healthcare is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards individuals of all ages
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with patients and team members
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and administrative tasks
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with patients, colleagues, and external professionals
- Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
