We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Recruitment & Training Officer to join our Catering and Cleaning Services Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in attracting, recruiting, onboarding and developing staff across two essential frontline services that support schools and communities across Torfaen.
As the first point of contact for many new employees, you will help create a positive and welcoming experience throughout their recruitment and onboarding journey.
About You
-
Experience of managing recruitment processes and supporting selection activities.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HR processes and employment legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and DBS requirements.
- Ability to identify learning and development needs and support workforce development initiatives.
- Knowledge of the Catering and Cleaning industry.
What You Will Be Doing
-
Managing recruitment campaigns across Catering and Cleaning Services.
- Coordinating interviews and leading candidate selection processes.
- Liaising with the Admin staff when dealing with onboarding activities including DBS and occupational health processes.
- Managing departmental training records and monitoring compliance.
- Identifying training gaps and coordinating development opportunities.
- Maintaining the departmental DBS system for all employees.
