Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window Fitter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help ensure that each installation meets safety standards, quality expectations, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a skilled team dedicated to craftsmanship and excellence in the building industry.
Duties
- Measure window openings accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment before installation
- Remove old windows carefully, ensuring minimal damage to surrounding structures
- Install new windows using a variety of hand tools and power tools, following schematics and technical drawings
- Seal and insulate windows to improve energy efficiency and prevent leaks
- Conduct quality checks on completed installations, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing, electrical, plastering, fabrication, and construction painting teams as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in window fitting, minimum 3 years.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication processes
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and building codes
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and perform manual tasks throughout the day
