Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Head and Neck Sonographer to join our community healthcare team in Gloucester. This part-time role involves performing Head and Neck scans for assessments in a supportive outpatient setting. The successful candidate will work one weekday per week, delivering high-quality care to approximately 23 patients per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations of the head and neck region, including thyroid, salivary glands, lymph nodes, and other soft tissue structures.
- Work collaboratively with referring clinicians to provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation and reporting in line with clinical governance standards.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Contribute to service development and uphold best practices in sonography.
Requirements:
- Qualified Sonographer with MSc, DMU, Post Graduate Diploma or certificate in Medical Ultrasound awarded by the Consortium for Accreditation of Sonographic Education (CASE) approved higher education provider.
- HCPC or RCT Registererd
- Must have own Indemnity Insurance cover.
- Have an up-to-date professional development portfolio.
- Professional membership.
- Five years minimum post qualification experience..
