We are looking for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly, experienced team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract from November 2026 to November 2027.
This role is suitable for a GDC-registered qualified dental nurse only. There may be the possibility of extending the role beyond the maternity cover period if a suitable opening becomes available during that time.
Pont Steffan Dental Practice is a busy, well-established private dental practice providing high-quality patient care in a supportive and professional environment. Alongside general dentistry, our team works across a wide range of treatments, including advance treatments in:
- Endodontics
- Periodontics
- Oral surgery
- Orthodontics
- Hygiene and preventative care
We are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable and confident working as part of a busy clinical team. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, good communication skills and a caring approach to patients.
The role will include:
- Chairside assistance for dentists and hygienists
- Preparing surgeries and supporting smooth clinical sessions
- Decontamination and sterilisation duties in line with practice protocols
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Supporting stock control and surgery organisation
- Assisting with occasional reception or administrative duties when required
- Helping the wider team maintain high standards of patient care, cleanliness and compliance
Practice hours:
- Monday - Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- No weekends

Essential requirements:
- Qualified Dental Nurse
- Current GDC registration
- Good knowledge of infection prevention and decontamination procedures
- Friendly, professional and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work well as part of a team
