Jubilee Pool Café is a vibrant and much-loved establishment located at the iconic Jubilee Pool. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional food and service to our valued customers. As we gear up for the upcoming season, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen team member.
Role Overview
we are looking for a strong team player, with a passion for food to cover the cafés day to day offerings, and poolside takeaway during peak season. You will work closely with the Kitchen Supervisor to help provide a fast, efficient quality service. You will help build a good reputation through your love and passion for cooking and preparing good food.
Responsibilities:
- Menu Creation: execute an exciting ‘deli-style’ menu for locals and visitor to enjoy!
- Food Production: Procure and prepare food during service hours, including breakfast, lunch, events, and private hire.
- Supplier Relationships: Maintain strong connections with local producers to secure quality ingredients at the best prices.
- Effective Planning: Manage food ordering processes to minimise wastage during peak and off-peak times.
- Menu Innovation: Help with menu ideas for seasonal change, poolside collaborations, events and private hire.
- Hygiene and Safety: Uphold our 5-star Food and Hygiene rating.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to Health and Safety laws, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven work experience within a catering kitchen producing high-volume quality food
- Experience managing others and self
- Solid understanding of hygiene and health and safety practices
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g., grill, fryers, pizza ovens)
Desirable:
- Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification
Salary and Hours
£13.71 per hour. Minimum 16 hours per week, increasing during peak season. Variable hours, weekend availability is essential.
