HiQ Tyres & Autocare Ruthin are seeking a highly organised and proactive Workshop Controller to oversee daily operations within our workshop environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and excellent organisational skills to ensure efficient workflow, safety compliance, and high-quality service delivery. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage workshop activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects
- Allocate work to technicians based on skill set and workload, optimising productivity
- Monitor progress of repairs and maintenance, providing support where necessary
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the workshop environment
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts used, and service documentation
- Assist with the inspection of equipment and tools, ensuring they are maintained in optimal condition
- Liaise with clients regarding job status, estimates, and completion times
- Support the training of new team members in workshop procedures and safety protocols
Experience
- Proven experience in a mechanical or technical role within a workshop or garage environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity of hand tools and power tools utilised in vehicle or equipment maintenance
- Previous experience in a supervisory or coordination role is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to workshop operations

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
