Everything we send out has to be clean, working and ready to go. The yard is where that standard is set.
The Role
We’re looking for a Yard Operative to prepare, maintain, and manage equipment before it goes out on hire.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll be cleaning, checking, repairing and getting units ready so they arrive on site exactly as they should.
If you take pride in doing things properly and don’t cut corners, you’ll fit in well here.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Cleaning and preparing equipment for hire
- Checking units are fully functional before they leave the yard
- Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance
- Preparing welfare units, accommodation units and portable toilets
- Supporting loading and organisation of equipment for upcoming jobs
- Keeping the yard organised, safe and running efficiently
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and turns up ready to work
- Comfortable with physical, hands-on tasks
- Able to work at pace without losing attention to detail
- Works well in a team and communicates clearly
- Takes responsibility for the quality of their work
- Flexible to work across different yard locations and occasional weekends
Bonus If You Have
- Basic woodworking or joinery skills
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- General maintenance / handyman experience
(No problem if not — we’ll train you)

- Pay: From £12.21 per hour
- Hours: Minimum 47.5 per week
