Production Cleaning Operative (GMP Environment)

At Sodexo, we deliver high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within regulated environments. This role is based within a pharmaceutical manufacturing site, where compliance, attention to detail, and adherence to strict procedures are essential.
As a Production Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for delivering cleaning services in line with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards, supporting safe and compliant operations across the site.
What you’ll do:

Carry out scheduled cleaning tasks across designated production and support areas

Work in accordance with GMP standards, site procedures, and infection control requirements

Follow all cleaning methods using task cards, SOPs, and training guidance

Ensure correct use of PPE and adherence to colour coding and COSHH regulations

Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all areas

Report faults with cleaning equipment or machinery to the Hygiene Supervisor

Identify and report any building defects or health and safety concerns

Complete tasks in line with daily schedules and supervisor direction

Support continuous improvement by maintaining consistent service standards

Work collaboratively with the wider team to support overall site operations
What you’ll bring:

Previous cleaning experience within a GMP, pharmaceutical, or regulated environment is desirable

Understanding of hygiene standards, COSHH, and safe working practices
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks

Reliable, flexible, and able to prioritise workload effectively
-
A positive, hands-on attitude with a focus on delivering high standards
This is a key role within a regulated environment, requiring a strong focus on compliance, safety, and consistency to support the client’s operational standards.
