Overview
We are seeking a skilled Stonemason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bricklaying, masonry, and working with various hand and power tools. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for creating high-quality stonework, we want to hear from you.
Duties
- Constructing and repairing stone structures such as walls, floors, and monuments
- Cutting and shaping stones to fit specific dimensions
- Mixing mortar and grout to hold stones together
- Using hand tools like chisels and hammers for precision work
- Operating power tools for cutting and shaping stones
- Collaborating with other tradespeople such as carpenters and welders on joint projects
- Working on various projects including roofs, pathways, and decorative features
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Stonemason or similar role
- Proficiency in bricklaying, masonry, and related techniques
- Familiarity with a variety of hand tools used in stonemasonry
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship skills
