Job Introduction
Join Sodexo as a Cleaner and help create safe, clean and welcoming environments in HM Naval Base, Portsmouth, PO1 3HH. This is a Monday to Friday role where you’ll deliver high standards of cleanliness across our facilities, ensuring a positive experience for colleagues, customers and visitors.
Working as part of our team, you’ll carry out a variety of cleaning duties while following health and safety procedures and Sodexo standards. If you take pride in your work and enjoy making a difference every day, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do:

Carry out a range of cleaning duties to a high standard, following cleaning schedules, task cards and supervisor instructions.

Comply with all health, safety and hygiene procedures, including COSHH, infection prevention, colour coding and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Complete all required training and follow company and client policies, maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality and appearance at all times.

Report any faults, defects or issues with cleaning equipment or the working environment promptly to the Cleaning Supervisor or Manager.

Support the wider cleaning team by undertaking additional reasonable duties as requested to help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
What you bring:
-
Proven experience of delivering high-quality cleaning services with excellent attention to detail.

A positive, reliable and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.

BICS qualification or willingness to work in line with BICS cleaning standards is desirable.

Previous cleaning experience within a hotel, healthcare, student accommodation or other commercial environment is desirable.

Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays, to attend training or support business requirements.
