Job Summary
Due to expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant / Barista to join our friendly team at Dough bakery.
We are offering 3 days per week, 22-25 hours.
We alternate Saturday working between staff, so Saturday availability is required however you will not work every weekend.
Shifts start from 7am.
Available to start mid September.
Duties
- Serving customers, including barista style coffee. Experience preferred but full training will be given.
- Preparing food in accordance with food safety standards, including hot and cold sandwiches, salads and pastas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop, including potwashing and keeping an eye on stock levels.
- Preparing the shop for opening.
- Assisting with the cake baking where required, primarily tray bakes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer facing role is preferred but full training will be given. Barista experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable but full training will be given, alongside the opportunity to complete your level 2 food hygiene certificate.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility around days worked. While we do try to keep a routine, we often need to move things around for holiday cover therefore cannot guarantee specific days each week.
- We have a great team here at Dough, so the ability to work well as part of a team is essential!
