Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food safety, food preparation, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of work.
- Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately using basic maths skills.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Keep the work area clean and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.
Requirements
- Previous Barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
